Ingredients

  • 1 pack of instant ramen noodles (discard the seasoning packet)
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ginger powder
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1/4 cup of shredded cooked chicken (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped green onion

Method

  • In a small pot, bring some water to a boil. Carefully lower the egg into the water and cook for 6 minutes. Transfer the egg to a bowl of cold water and peel when cool enough to handle.
  • In another pot, bring the chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, and ginger powder to a boil. Add the noodles and cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Cut the egg in half and place on top of the noodles. Add the chicken and green onion if using.
